TEN TIPS ABOUT HEATING SYSTEMS – 1st. part

TEN TIPS ABOUT HEATING SYSTEMS TO SAVE AND RESPECT THE ENVIRONMENT.

Have you ever asked yourself if there is something you can do every day, or periodically, in order to improve your heating system performance, saving energy and respecting the environment?

ENEA suggests 10 practice rules to do it in the best way, and we’ll examine them in depth in three posts, going through point by point.

1) Carry out the systems’ maintenance. A system consumes and pollutes less when it is well set, clean and without limescale.

2) Manage the ambient temperature. A home with too high temperature is not healthy and expensive: a temperature of 19C° is ideal to give us the comfort we need. Each less degree means  from 5% till 10% saving on your consumption.

3) Pay attention to the ignition hours. Keep the heating system turned on only during the day and switch it off during the night. In an efficient home the heat accumulated when the system is on guarantees comfort temperatures also during the shutdown period.
